Cookie Policy

Our public usage counters are aggregated without setting their own visitor-tracking cookies. Some other functions can use cookies or local storage.

Essential functionality

If you run an Advanced test and download a report, xMyIP uses a PHP session cookie (XMYIPREPORT) to associate the resulting report with your browser for a short period. It is intended for the report function, not ad personalization. The analytics administration area uses its own login session; ordinary visitors do not use that login.

Anonymous site statistics

Our first-party daily counters measure page views, diagnostic operations and success or failure totals without storing a persistent identifier in the aggregate statistics or setting a dedicated analytics cookie. A browser-view count is a page-load estimate, not a unique-person count.

Google AdSense and consent messaging

xMyIP is preparing to display advertising using Google AdSense. The AdSense script is currently included for verification and can support Google's consent message. After ad serving begins, Google and advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies for ad delivery, frequency capping, fraud prevention, measurement and personalization where permitted. Some storage may also be used for consent choices.

For visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, Google-certified consent management must be enabled and configured in the AdSense dashboard before personalized advertising. When Google's message is available, use the “Privacy and cookie settings” link in the footer to revisit your choices. You can also manage Google ad personalization at My Ad Center.

Browser controls

Your browser may let you clear or block cookies. Blocking necessary session cookies may prevent short-lived Advanced report downloads from working correctly. Browser-wide tracking controls do not necessarily replace a consent decision for advertising.
